This PloneMeeting alpha release is almost fully-functional. We need to polish the following things before releasing PloneMeeting 1.0beta:

  • management of groups, permissions, roles;
  • editing of all meeting items descriptions or decisions in a single kupu field;
  • management of recurring items;
  • management of items that are added after a meeting agenda has been published.

This release covers the whole "decision" workflow, from the proposition of items to be discussed in official meetings to
the publication of agendas and decisions in PDF, ODT, RTF and/or DOC.

PloneMeeting has been designed to be "plonegovable", ie to be generic enough to be customized to the needs of more than one or two organisations (at least we hope so :-) ). So a lot of elements can be completely configured: the workflows (on items, agendas and decisions), the generation of documents in several formats and with any document template, the way to manage decisions (kupu fields or uploaded annexes), the user interface, etc. Zope3 interfaces and adaptors have been used to
allow to alter the default behaviours implemented in PloneMeeting.
